Elizabeth L. Pedersen practices civil, administrative and regulatory litigation with an emphasis on hospital, hospice and nursing home development (Certificate of Need), Change of Ownership (CHOW) proceedings before the Agency for Health Care Administration on commercial litigation, insurance defense matters and representation of educational and health care institutions.
Ms. Pedersen graduated from the University of Miami School of Law in 2003. Ms. Pedersen earned a Bachelor of Arts and Sciences in History from Tulane University in 2000. At Tulane, Ms. Pedersen served on the Student Admissions Committee, and as a Resident Advisor. She is also a member of Chi Omega, serving as Rush Information Chair for two years as an undergraduate.
While attending law school, Ms. Pedersen was a member of the University of Miami School of Law Center for Ethics and Public Service, where she was an AT&T Fellow for two years during which she prepared and presented numerous ethics workshops for local public and private school educators. Ms. Pedersen also served as a project leader for HOPE Public Interest Resource Center, a student organization reaching underserved and at-risk populations while providing community and pro bono services.
Ms. Pedersen is a member of the Administrative Law, Health Law, and General Practice Solo and Small Firm Sections of the Florida Bar, and is a member of the American Health Lawyers Association (AHLA), and is admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court for the Northern, Middle, and Southern Districts of Florida. Ms. Pedersen is an active volunteer for Gilda’s Club of South Florida and serves as an advisor to the Upsilon Delta Chapter of Chi Omega at the University of Miami.
