Robert Alston

J. Robert Alston, IV is an Associate Attorney who practices in the areas of sports, healthcare compliance, administrative and regulatory law, with an emphasis on corporate law and higher education law.

Mr. Alston earned his Juris Doctor from Tulane University School of Law with a certificate in Sports Law. He also graduated with Honors from the University of Southern Mississippi with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology.

During law school, Mr. Alston received a book award in Wind Law and served as an antirust research assistant and Articles Editor for the Sports Lawyers Journal. While in law school, Mr. Alston clerked for several athletic compliance departments at the university and conference levels. He also served as an in-house legal intern for several large companies focusing on intellectual property, corporate, and sports law.

Mr. Alston was published in the Sports Lawyers Journal, Vol. 30 during his time at Tulane for his comment, “The Last Strike: Nearing the End of the Century Old Business of Baseball Antitrust Exemption”.

Mr. Alston is a member of the Texas and Florida Bar.
