Pamela M. Kane

Pamela M. Kane | PartnerPamela M. Kane practices in the areas of local, state and federal administrative and regulatory law. Her practice areas include health care, land use and property rights and regulation, procurement and environmental law.

Ms. Kane grew up in South Florida and graduated from the University of Florida in 1981 and Nova Southeastern School of Law in 1985.

Her experience includes representation of clients before local and state agencies for Land Use and Property rights issues ranging from DRI, Comprehensive Plan, and Development Order issues for commercial, residential and industrial sites to state submerged land issues; Environmental issues ranging from environmental audits and clean up, ground water contamination, analysis, attenuation and clean up, Water use and disposal including use, licensing and distribution of reclaimed water and environmental mitigation; Local and State regulatory licensing issues ranging from medical office and health care worker compliance, pharmaceutical compliance, liquor licensing, and travel services licensing; and all matters dealing with Florida state sales and use tax.

In addition to private interest clients, Ms. Kane has served as General Counsel for the Early Learning Coalition for Palm Beach County providing representation on all corporate governance, operations, finances, procurement and other agency activities; Legal Counsel for the Health Care District of Palm Beach County in Board governance, labor and employment matters and legislative proposals; Special Counsel to the Palm Beach County Revenue Collector for real estate, procurement, compliance, public record and sunshine matters; Special Counsel to the Palm Beach County Clerk of Court on real estate, procurement and public records matters; and Florida Disclosure Counsel for a Multinational Bank issuing approximately $380 million in Bonds backed by Florida Tax Liens.

Ms. Kane is a member of the Florida Bar, Environmental and Land Use Section member, and the American Bar Association, 1985 to 2009, Government and Public Sector Lawyers Division, where she served as Vice Chair, Task Force on Pro Bono, 1993 – 1994, Deputy Chair, Task Force on Pro Bono 1994 – 1995, Chair, Task Force on Pro Bono, 1995 – 1996, Contributing Author, Pro Bono Programs for Government and Public Sector Lawyers, Copyright 1994, American Bar Association; Board Member, Young at Art, Inc., a children’s art museum, 1994 to 2001 and Board Member, School Advisory Counsel, South Plantation High School, 2010 to present.
