Salvation Army Holiday Tradition Honored

Molly and Edward Ugo joined Susan Horovitz Maurer to ring the bell for the Salvation Army at one of Fort Lauderdale’s longest running holiday traditions event, the 53rd annual “Christmas on Las Olas” on December 1st.

Contributions made to the Salvation Army Red Kettle enable the organization to provide food, toys and clothing to over 6 million people during the Christmas season.  The donations help more than 34 million Americans recovering from all kinds of personal disasters nationwide, and continues the Salvation Army’s year-round effort to help those who would otherwise be forgotten.

The Red Kettle campaign first started in San Francisco in 1891, and has traditionally been the Salvation Army’s most prominent fund-raiser.
