Mike Satz was first elected as State Attorney for the Seventeenth Judicial Circuit of Broward County in 1976. He has been re-elected ten times since. Mike Satz continues to personally prosecute homicide and other violent crime cases, while overseeing a staff of more than 500 employees, including 215 attorneys.
In fiscal year 2013-14, the Broward State Attorney’s Office filed more than 14,000 felony cases, and more than 49,000 misdemeanor cases.
