Zollie M. Maynard is a native Floridian from Tallahassee, Florida where his practice consists of Administrative and Insurance law as well as state agency and legislative lobbying. He received his law degree from Florida State University in 1971 following two years of service in the U.S. Army including the Viet Nam conflict. Mr. Maynard remained in the Army Reserve recently retiring with the rank of full colonel. He received a B.A. in Education from the University of Florida and a Masters in Education Administration from Florida State University.
Mr. Maynard’s professional experience has included service as General Counsel of the Florida Patient’s Compensation Fund, General Counsel of the Neurologically Injured Compensation Association, Chairman of the Florida Commercial Joint Underwriting Association, Florida Assistant Attorney General in the Tax Division, Director of Cabinet Affairs for the Florida Department of Insurance as well as extensive experience in administrative law, insurance defense litigation, and governmental agency rules with emphasis on education and insurance.
Mr. Maynard is a member of the Tallahassee Bar and the Florida Bar. He has served as an adjunct professor with the College of Education at Florida State University teaching Education and the Law to graduate students. He also served as a member of the Leon County Schools District Advisory Board.
Mr. Maynard has had a state agency and legislative practice for over sixteen years. During that time his representation has included the areas of finance, title insurance, labor, utilities, telecommunications, computers, hotels, medical and health services, athletics and real estate.
Mr. Maynard lives and practices in Tallahassee, Florida. He is married to Valorie Maynard and they have three children.
